Since that time I've received numerous emails from past customers wondering what happened to it, and if it was ever coming back... so, here it is!

Never welcome at the best of times, haemorrhoids can be pesky, pregnancy party crashers.

They commonly appear due to the added pressure from baby on the veins in the pelvis. Plus, the hormone progesterone causes the walls of the veins to relax, which allows them to swell a lot easier.

A complete 'PITA', they can cause discomfort, swelling, itching and burning. Not to mention kill your pregnancy glow!

For some women they appear for the first time (or worsen) after they've pushed a baby out. Particularly if it's a prolonged second stage.

They can persist well into postpartum too.

The Bottom Balm can also be used on anal fissures.

Bottom Balm is a smooth healing balm rich in astringent, cooling and anti-inflammatory herbs, plus therapeutic essential oils.

It's Naturopath-formulated, safe to use in pregnancy (after the first trimester) and throughout postpartum.

It helps reduce pain, discomfort and itch associated with haemorrhoids and/or anal fissures, reduces the swelling of the haemorrhoid/s and supports the regeneration of the skin/mucosa of anal fissures.

Why?

Calendula: Soothing to tender, inflamed or irritated tissues.

Witch Hazel: A herb with a deserved reputation for its astringent properties. It helps ease bruising and swelling and is commonly used for haemorrhoids.

Plantain & Comfrey: Both herbs have incredible astringent, demulcent and healing properties, making it wonderful for both swollen or cracked tissues.

Peppermint: For its cooling sensation; counteracting irritation and inflammation.

St. John's Wort: When used externally, this herb supports healing of bruising, varicose veins and haemorrhoids.

Coconut oil: Rich in fatty acids, vitamin E, antioxidants, antimicrobial and antifungal properties. Its moisture retaining capacity makes it protective against cracking of the skin (that occurs in fissures).

Geranium, Cypress and German Chamomile oils: For their synergistic combination of anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antimicrobial, analgesic, healing and skin restorative properties! 

Beeswax: This helps lock in the skin's natural moisture, protects and repairs any damaged skin.

With clean, dry hands apply to the affected area multiple times daily, and particularly after a bowel motion.
